What is NexGard (Afoxolaner) used for in dogs?

How to give NexGard to your dog
NexGard is a beef-flavored chewable tablet given once monthly. Most dogs eat it like a treat. Give on the same day each month. NexGard only covers fleas and ticks — you will need a separate heartworm preventive. Can be given with or without food.
