What is Librela (Bedinvetmab) used for in dogs?

How to give Librela to your dog
Librela is administered as a subcutaneous injection by your veterinarian only. It cannot be given at home. The dose is calculated based on your dog's body weight. Schedule monthly vet appointments for ongoing treatment. No fasting or special preparation is needed before the appointment. After injection, your dog can resume normal activities. Monitor for improved mobility over the following 1-2 weeks.

- Worsening of neurological conditions
- Anaphylaxis (very rare)
- Rapidly progressing joint disease (rare)
- Severe dermatological reactions

When to call the vet
Call your vet immediately if your dog shows any of these signs:
- Swelling, redness, or pain at the injection site lasting more than 48 hours
- Severe lethargy or reluctance to move after injection
- Signs of allergic reaction (facial swelling, difficulty breathing, hives)
- New neurological signs (wobbliness, head tilt, seizures)
- No improvement in pain or mobility after 2-3 monthly injections
